Copyright and DMCA Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

Stymie respects the intellectual property of others. Photographers, golfers and clubs can submit content to Stymie, and we remove material that infringes someone’s rights when we are told about it.

Designated agent

Send copyright notices to our designated agent:

Anthony Sallemi, Stymie Golf
Email: [email protected] (subject line “DMCA notice”)

What to include in a notice

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
  3. The URL of each page on stymie.golf where the material appears.
  4. Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

We remove or disable access to the material, normally within 5 business days, and tell the person who submitted it.

Counter-notices

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address with: your signature; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your name, address and telephone number with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the United States, any judicial district where Stymie may be found) and will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice. We may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant tells us they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringers

We disable the accounts and photographer profiles of users who repeatedly submit infringing material.

Golf clubs and their logos

Club logos in our directory and logo gallery are taken from each club’s own website to identify the club, and remain the property of their owners. If you represent a club and want a logo updated, corrected or removed, email [email protected] from a club address or with a link to the club’s site. No formal DMCA notice is needed for this.

Course data corrections

For wrong addresses, phone numbers, scorecards or other course details, email [email protected] or use the feedback button on any page.
