Our Data
Stymie maintains a database of every golf course in the United States. Our data pipeline aggregates information from four authoritative sources, cross-references it for accuracy, and updates nightly.
Data Sources

Every US golf course with geographic coordinates, sourced from the world's largest open mapping database. Licensed under ODbL. ~16,000 courses.
USGA National Course Rating Database
Official slope ratings, course ratings, and bogey ratings from the United States Golf Association. The definitive numbers used for GHIN handicap calculations.
Google Places API
Business details including phone numbers, hours, review ratings, and photos. Enriches geographic data with operational information.
GolfCourseAPI
Hole-by-hole scorecard data: yardages, par values, and stroke indexes for each tee set.
