Data Sources
OpenStreetMap (Base Layer)
Every US golf course with geographic coordinates, sourced from the world's largest open mapping database. Licensed under ODbL. ~20,000 course listings.
USGA National Course Rating Database
Official slope ratings, course ratings, and bogey ratings from the United States Golf Association. The definitive numbers used for GHIN handicap calculations.
GolfCourseAPI
Hole-by-hole scorecard data: yardages, par values, and stroke indexes for each tee set.
Direct Facility Research
Selected business details such as official websites, contact information, and amenity corrections are sourced from facility websites and manual verification.
Update Frequency
Our pipeline runs nightly at 3:00 AM UTC. Course closures, name changes, and rating updates are reflected within 24 hours.
